The work is a performance based on the text by Bernard-Marie Koltès: “In der Einsamkeit der Baumwollfelder”. It is about a dialogue, a strange “deal” between two people whose subject remains contested and unnamed. Is it about orders, longing, threats? Is it about the right to have unknown desires?
The performance focuses on the sound of the words and the voice of the characters gradually detaches itself from the individual body. A kind of third voice can emerge that does not try to take a specific position. Rather, it is a stylistic device that seeks to go beyond the closedness of dialogue.
The performance will take place inside and outside Galerie Nord | Kunstverein Tiergarten and will end when the dialogue is spoken together.
